CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For Paper-I (Class I to V)
- Candidates must have:
- Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in D.El.Ed
OR
- Graduation with D.El.Ed / B.Ed qualification
For Paper-II (Class VI to VIII)
- Candidates must have:
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed / B.El.Ed / D.El.Ed qualification

How To Fill CTET September 2026 Online Form

Pay the examination fee online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Once payment is successful, download and print the Confirmation Page.
- Note: You do not need to send the hard copy to the CBSE office.
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the official website: ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the link “Apply for CTET Sept 2026”.
- Choose “New Registration”, read the information bulletin, and click the checkbox to proceed.
- Enter basic details: Name, Father’s/Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and Identity Type (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.).
- Set a password and choose a security question. Note down your Application Number generated at the end.
Step 2: Fill Application Form
- Log in using your Application Number and Password.
- Fill in personal details, category, and language preferences (Language I and Language II).
- Select the paper you are applying for (Paper I for Classes 1–5, Paper II for Classes 6–8, or Both).
- Enter your Educational Qualifications (B.Ed/D.El.Ed details, year of passing, institution name, and pincode).
- Select your Exam City preferences. (Note: Cities are allocated based on availability; choose early to get your preferred location.)
Step 3: Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of your photo and signature in JPG/JPEG format:
- Photograph: 10 KB to 100 KB (Dimension: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm).
- Signature: 3 KB to 30 KB (Dimension: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm).
Step 4: Fee Payment & Confirmation
Valid Documents for Filling the Form

Valid ID Proof: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport.

Educational Certificates: 10th, 12th, and Degree/Diploma certificates.

Personal Info: Active Mobile Number and Email ID for receiving OTPs and updates.

CTET 2026 : How To Fill Language & City Preference
- Choose Language-I and Language-II carefully during form filling.
- Select the preferred examination city from the available options.
- Once submitted, correction in language and city may be limited during correction window.

- Candidates can apply only through online mode.
- Multiple application forms may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Examination city will be allotted randomly by CBSE.
- No request for change of examination city will be accepted.
- Keep a copy of the confirmation page for future use.
