CTET September 2026 Online Form – Apply Online for Paper I & II

Short Information:

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 examination. The 22nd Edition of CTET will be conducted on 06 September 2026 (Sunday) for both Paper-I and Paper-II.

The online application process has started from 11 May 2026 and eligible candidates can submit their application form till 10 June 2026 (11:59 PM) through the official website. The examination will be conducted in 27 languages across 132 cities all over India.

CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Paper-I (Class I to V)

  • Candidates must have:
  • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in D.El.Ed
    OR
  • Graduation with D.El.Ed / B.Ed qualification

For Paper-II (Class VI to VIII)

  • Candidates must have:
  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed / B.El.Ed / D.El.Ed qualification

How To Fill CTET September 2026 Online Form

    1. Pay the examination fee online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

    2. Once payment is successful, download and print the Confirmation Page.

    3. Note: You do not need to send the hard copy to the CBSE office.

      Step 1: Registration

      1. Visit the official website: ctet.nic.in.
      2. Click on the link “Apply for CTET Sept 2026”.
      3. Choose “New Registration”, read the information bulletin, and click the checkbox to proceed.
      4. Enter basic details: Name, Father’s/Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and Identity Type (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.).
      5. Set a password and choose a security question. Note down your Application Number generated at the end.

      Step 2: Fill Application Form

      1. Log in using your Application Number and Password.
      2. Fill in personal details, category, and language preferences (Language I and Language II).
      3. Select the paper you are applying for (Paper I for Classes 1–5, Paper II for Classes 6–8, or Both).
      4. Enter your Educational Qualifications (B.Ed/D.El.Ed details, year of passing, institution name, and pincode).
      5. Select your Exam City preferences. (Note: Cities are allocated based on availability; choose early to get your preferred location.)

      Step 3: Upload Documents

      Upload scanned copies of your photo and signature in JPG/JPEG format:
      • Photograph: 10 KB to 100 KB (Dimension: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm).
      • Signature: 3 KB to 30 KB (Dimension: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm).

      Step 4: Fee Payment & Confirmation

    Valid Documents for Filling the Form

    • Valid ID Proof: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport.

    • Educational Certificates: 10th, 12th, and Degree/Diploma certificates.

    • Personal Info: Active Mobile Number and Email ID for receiving OTPs and updates.

CTET 2026 : How To Fill Language & City Preference

  • Choose Language-I and Language-II carefully during form filling.
  • Select the preferred examination city from the available options.
  • Once submitted, correction in language and city may be limited during correction window.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates can apply only through online mode.
  • Multiple application forms may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Examination city will be allotted randomly by CBSE.
  • No request for change of examination city will be accepted.
  • Keep a copy of the confirmation page for future use.

CTET September 2026: Qualification Process

Stage 1 Written Examination Offline (OMR) Candidates appear for Paper I (Classes 1-5), Paper II (Classes 6-8), or both.
Stage 2 Result Declaration Online CBSE releases the marksheet and results (expected by late Oct 2026).
Stage 3 Certificate Digital (DigiLocker) Qualified candidates receive an Eligibility Certificate.
Stage 4 Job Application Varies Candidates must apply separately for school vacancies (KVS, NVS, DSSSB) using their CTET certificate.
